I got out of my mom's car as she waved and shouted that she loved me. I had just gotten to school about half an hour early to meet my friend Tanner. He was an odd fellow. He had a huge mess of hair that covered his eyes and most of his nose; he was a slacker that never gave any effort into anything that he didn't deem worth his time, and didn't talk to anybody. He always kept to himself, which was a shame, this guy could write comic gold, draw great pictures, and could figure out most problems. However he didn't plan on putting any of those talents towards his future, because he had only one dream in mind, which was to be rock-star, or pirate, whichever came first. Anyways he was sitting at a chair in the student lounge writing a sarcastic book report for one of our elderly teachers, laughing as he dropped in several comments that involved saving the earth from aliens, retrieving his stolen jacket back from an evil leprechaun, playing solitaire, and how none of the assignments he ever received would help him become a rock-star.

I laughed as I read the report from over his shoulder.
"Oh hey Jacob", he laughed, "you've got to read all this!" he said as he offered the paper.
"That's alright I got most of it, I hope you spent as much time working on your half of the presentation as you do insulting our teachers." I smiled.
He froze up, "That presentation was today?" he asked.
I sighed, "Well how much do you know so far?"
"Know about what?"
"You idiot! The teacher gave us two weeks to put together a one minute verbal presentation about the Great Barrier Reef and you don't have anything!?"
"Reef shmeef! Nobody cares if we pass or fail anyways."
"I do, so come on." He got up and we started walking when suddenly Tanner looked shocked. "Jacob you-your face it's turning blue!" He shouted.
We walked past the bathroom.
"What are you-…" suddenly I felt a great pain in my chest. "I'm gonna be sick!"
I turned around and ran into the bathroom. If anyone was in here I couldn't tell, my vision had become blurred. I felt the pain spread through my entire body, causing me to collapse onto the floor. Everything seemed to be getting bigger my vision blackened, my head was in such pain I couldn't keep awake and I soon blacked out.

Tanner's Point of view…

A loud scream echoed through the halls, I looked back and forth but nobody else was in the halls.
I stood outside the door and shouted, "Hey Jacob, are you alright in there?"
I waited for another minute for a response. I eventually decided to go inside. I saw his clothes lying in a pile on the floor.
"I hope this doesn't mean he's running around the school nude." I winced. Jacob didn't seem like the kind of guy that would do that. Sure he did a lot of stuff to get attention, but he knew the difference between positive and negative attention. Suddenly the pile of clothes moved.
"What the…" I nudged the clothes with me foot and felt something inside of them. Whatever it was it was alive. I knelt down and slowly unwrapped whatever this thing was. I was afraid the whole time that something was gonna jump out and bite my face off while I heard Jacob laughing from some hiding place. However, this didn't happen and eventually I had gotten the clothes off of the creature. I gasped, was that a…a…Pokémon? But everyone knew there was no such thing as Pokémon, yet there it slept silently with a strange expression on its face.

Where did it come from, and which one is it?  I knew that I'd seen this one before. It was that one that came before lucario. It was definitely a Pokémon, but how could it be? After all ever knows there's no such thing as Pokémon! But yet here one was. I looked back at its face and I notice that it had a strangely familiar expression.
It was almost like it was… oh my god! This thing was Jacob. I felt stupid for thinking it but it had to be true, it would explain everything. I heard some other kids coming down the hall, school was gonna start in about ten minutes which meant that I had to get Jacob hidden, If anybody found him his life would be over. They might take him away to some lab for the rest of his life or kill him to stop some kind of infection or something! Better to not take any chances.

I took my backpack and dumped out all the books, papers, and pencils. I pulled out everything else until it was empty. What was I supposed to do with all this stuff? The school would find some way to charge an outrageous price for the supplies if I were to lose or damage them. I sighed, I stacked the books and pushed them under the sink, no one would mess with them there. I picked up Jacob, which was difficult, he must have weighed at least forty pounds, and shoved him into the backpack.
Now what was I supposed to do with him? I had to get him out of the school, that much was obvious. I guess there was only one thing to do in a situation like this. I got out my cell phone and dialed the number.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Hey Mom, I feel sick, could I go home?" I lied.
"Are you actually sick" she asked.
"It's very possible." I replied.
"Well what's wrong?" she asked, she didn't want to pick me up for nothing.
"Umm… I'm feeling kinda stressed…and I'm even starting to question my mental stability." I said looking at the bag on the floor.
"Fine I'll see you in about an hour." She sighed.
"An hour!?" How could I keep him hidden for an hour?
"Sorry but that's it, see ya." She said and then hung up.
One hour… what could I do? What if he woke up? How would I talk to him, these things can't speak. There was no way I could pull this off. Jacob was doomed and there was nothing that I could do.
"Maybe I could…no… What if I…that wouldn't work… I could…that's ridiculous!" None of the ideas that entered my mind would work. I'd have to hope that I could make it through class without Jacob waking up.

I got to the classroom and was shocked to see that only about three other students showed up! Where was everybody? Class was about to start in two minutes, and the teacher was nowhere to be found.
Something was wrong; I just hoped that Jacob didn't have something to do with this. After another ten minutes one of the other students decided to go look for the teacher, when he came back he had some shocking news, none of the teachers could be found anywhere on our floor and there weren't any other students. We were the only four people here, not counting Jacob. What happened in the last thirty minutes? I had heard at least twenty other kids before I came to class. Sure that wasn't near as many students as normal but still…

Two of the kids, tired of waiting, said screw it and walked down the hall to the exit. I kept thinking of them as "Kid", I guess it was weird that I didn't actually know any of their names. The other kid had gotten nervous.
"Maybe we weren't supposed to go to school today! Maybe there was an email that went out telling us not to." He assured himself.
"Maybe, but that wouldn't explain what happened to all the other students that were already here, and I know I saw a couple teachers this morning." I said.
I guess I shouldn't have, this made him more nervous than before. He was so scared, he looked like he was gonna vomit.
"Maybe we should just go home, I'm gonna be gone in about twenty minutes, maybe you should make a call." I suggested.
"Maybe, but what if something happened to everyone else?" he asked.
"Maybe we should look downstairs, maybe there's a meeting and we just didn't hear about it." I assured him.
We walked towards the stairs when a thought occurred to me.
"Umm what's your name again?" I asked slightly embarrassed.
"You do realize we've been in the same class for three months?" He asked skeptically. "Yeah, I'm sorry about that…" I apologized.
"My name's Aaron, Tanner."
"Right, sorry about that, it's just-" suddenly I was interrupted by what sounded like hundreds of people talking. We went down the stairs to the cafeteria. When I opened the door I was shocked at what I saw.

There were hundreds of Pokémon everywhere. Nearly every kind of Pokémon were in the cafeteria. They were all, strangely enough, speaking English, most of them asking what the hell just happened. I guess I figured out what happened to the rest of the school. Aaron was shocked. He literally couldn't breathe.
"Well I guess that explains this." I said pulling the riolu out of my backpack. Aaron shrieked and fell to the floor.
"Wow…um I guess I'd better go…" I said. I made for the exit.
"Wait!"
I stopped and turned around. The rest stopped talking and directed their attention towards me. A Pikachu stepped out of the crowd.
"You're…you're still human!" It said.
"Umm yeah, I guess so." I shrugged.
"Does that mean you can help us?" it asked hopefully.
"I'm sorry, but I don't know what's going on either. I just found my friend like this," I held up Jacob, "this morning… So I can't do anything about it."
"Well what do we do!?" Someone in the crowd shouted.
"Yeah, how can we live lives like this!?" another shouted.
"Who did this to us!?" someone else yelled.
Suddenly everyone was getting angry. Being the only human not on the floor I decide to run off, I still had Jacob with me. When I got out of here, I was gonna have some questions for him.
This is my first submission. I'm really new around here so any tips would be nice. I decided to write this while I took a break away from my real TF story, which I hope to get back to soon. Thanks for reading and keep an eye out for part two!

What happens when our whole world gets changed into another. What happens when almost everyone is turned into Pokemon and you're one of the only humans left? What would you do if you found your best friend changed into a riolu? What do you do if you've become one of the Pokemon?

I do not own Pokemon.
